This place opened its doors with a skeleton crew to service the needs of the community during the flooding from Hurricane Harvey. I'm sure some employees were stranded and had to slept inside. Others walked through water to get to and from work. Coming into work when anyone would've been justified in staying home is five-star in my book.

Best store for miles. Helpful and very professional employees. The environment is friendly and helpful and I shop here regularly.

Clean store, incredibly helpful and friendly staff, excellent meat and produce. Could not ask for better.

This store was fine. Product pricing was clearly indicated, clean environment, well lit, good selection. At checkout the clerk (young male) and the customer ahead of me (middle aged male) were conversing, and though it was small talk, the rapport seemed genuine, not forced or hanging awkwardly as so much filler-chatter seems to. But when I got to him, he said "Hi how are you doing today" and I responded "Fine how about yourself" and it was as though I'd said nothing at all. Yeah it was just out there and ignored. Then another young male coworker approached and they engaged in conversation unrelated to the checkout task, causing several minute but noticeable delays in the process. It wasn't until the last item had been scanned that his attention returned to me, to finalize the transaction. But his demeanor had changed to hurried, quite different than it was while he was scanning. Not that he was slow scanning; he scanned at a comfortable rate, except for the aforementioned delays. It's just that he didn't act as though my time were valuable, but when he needed my attention, clearly some urgency had been added.

For a small town grocery store, it's what you expect. Sometimes I'm disappointed with fruit or milk being on the shelf past their expiration dates. On the other hand, the produce and milk are exceptional for a small town. Very friendly staff.. usually the local youth.
